No Matter How Far

about

This song, although written long ago (2008 or thereabouts), is the only track not officially part of the "Lullaby/Berceuse" project. This uplifting and honest "orphan" song is a favourite when I perform it live and many have asked for a recording of it. The quality and 3/4 time lend itself to this set of lovely songs to be sung to young and old - Finally it has found a home! We hope you and yours enjoy it at well.

Recorded in Toronto with Guillermo Subauste, April 2015. It, incidentally, also uses simple chords to allow the music-loving novice to easily master it and sing along.

lyrics

Reach for the stars
don't let anyone stop you
No matter how far
no matter how broken you are

Reach for yourself
no one else can reach you
stop watching the clock
and let everything teach you

And please be patient - and please be kind

Reach for the stars
don't let anyone stop you
not even yourself
though it might be tempting

Reach for your heart
no one else can reach it
if you won't unveil
if you don't unleash it

And please be gentle - and please be strong
